Music Video

This is a dope video that my guys D. Nick The Microphone Misfit and Mel, put together sometime last year.  I love the concept of this song and the video translates the lyrics very well.

*Take a look at Super InLight showing off his bboying skills throughout the video.  He'll be one of the guest judges at the Image is Everything bboy event this coming Saturday at Lure Izakaya Pub, in Chicago's Chinatown.

Summer 2011

Red Bull BC One Chicago 2011

I was at this event back in late July.

All the battles were amazing, however this was my favorite battle of the night.  Personally, I felt both b-boys, Toyz aRe Us and El Niño, were two of the best breakers of the night and really stepped up to the plate when they faced off here in the semi-finals.
Hip-Hop at it's finest.

Pre-Show

Come check out the talented beat maestro, KayKayontheBeatz, at Lure Izakaya Pub for the Image is Everything B-Boy event on Saturday, October 29, 2011.  She will be djing from 9:00 to 10:00 PM.

Check out some of her videos below.
Her sound reminds me of classic boom-bap Hip-Hop.  She lists Pete Rock and DJ Premier as some of her influences.  I can definitely hear it.  Fire!!!!

Joakim Noah Vs. the City of Cleveland

After getting knocked down 2 games to none by the Cleveland Cavaliars, Chicago Bulls' Joakim Noah got a little revenge. At the post game press conference when asked by a report about if he had any regrets about what he said about Cleveland, he responded, "Not at all. You like it? Do you think Cleveland's cool? I mean I've never heard somebody say I'm going to Cleveland on vacation?"

Looks like Noah has been touching up on his comedy.

WTF!!!

Hard Ticket to Hawaii

What was the point of this scene!? LOL!!!!

Before 'Snakes on a Plane' (2006) there was 'Hard Ticket to Hawaii (1987).' The movie is about two drug enforcement agents on a private island in Hawaii who launch an all out war against the bad guys. The film was directed by Andy Sidaris, who's best remembered for his cheesy B-rated movies.

On Health Reform...That is

Yesterday, in Washington D.C., hours before the House of Representatives passed Health Reform, Jesse Jackson confronted by a jeering crowd of tea party protesters gleefully smirked and laughed at them, while pointing out signs that some protesters were waving in from of him.
