It is being reported that on Monday night, during the LeBron James Skills Academy hosted by Nike, LeBron James was dunked on by Xavier Musketeers sophomore guard Jordan Crawford from Detroit, Michigan, during a pick-up game with various players from the Cleveland Cavaliers and NCAA. Shortly afterwards, officials from Nike confiscated all videotapes that may have recorded the incident, citing that they had violated rules banning any video recordings of the event.
One of those who's videotape was confiscated is freelance photographer Ryan Miller, who stated that he had been recording the event for roughly 15 minutes, until the dunk happened, and then immediately afterwards was told to relinquish the videotape by Nike basketball senior director, Lynn Merritt. Miller tells CBSSports.com, "He just said, 'We have to take your tape.' LeBron called Lynn over and told him something, that's how I knew his name was Lynn. LeBron said, 'Hey, Lynn. Come here.' There's nothing I can think of besides Lebron just not wanting it online. It's a good story to tell people, I guess. But then again, I'm kind of p***ed. I lost my tape." Miller also noted that there is no policy forbidding filming at the LeBron James Skills Academy and that he had been filming there all day without any incident, until after LeBron was dunked on by Crawford.
Jordan Crawford comments on the dunk.
"It ok LeBron even his 'Airness' with embarrassed at a Nike Basketball Camp function before. Remember this?"
"LeBron at least it wasn't by a one-on-one game vs. a middle-aged CEO and Chairman of an investment company."
