Ousted President Vows Return

Think you had a bad day. Try losing your country. Ousted democratically elected Honduran president, Manuel Zelaya last Sunday was reportedly awoken to gunfire and was snatched from his bed and detained while in his pajamas and forcefully flown to Costa Rica hours before polls were opened for Honduran citizens to vote on a constitutional referendum that would allow presidents to serve more than one term, was to take place.

The ousted president has vowed he will return to Honduras to reclaim his presidency from newly installed president, Roberto Micheletti, with added support from Honduran supporters, the international community, and with the presidents of Ecuador and Argentina, as well as with the heads of the OAS (Organization of American States) and UN General Assembly by his side.
